Company History
In 2001, Jane and Cliff Norman established Profound Knowledge Products, Inc. (PKP) (dba: Profound Knowledge Partners) to work with API to assist organizations to accelerate learning and to adapt quickly to the ever present challenges occurring in the workplace. PKP assists leaders by engaging them effectively to transform their organization into a collaborative, learning, results-oriented system. To this end, PKP has developed methods and software to support clients which include Quality Improvement eLearning modules, Accelerated Model for Improvement (Ami™) methods, Accelerated Innovation & Model for Improvement and Analytics Platform (AimiHub) and Traksio (Assessment, Project Management, Improvement & Analytics). In 2024, PKP expanded their ownership to include Julie Sadovich, PhD, RN. PKP has an International Client List which includes Jonkoping County Healthcare, Sweden, NHS in England & Scotland, SingHealth in Singapore, Canadian Healthcare (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario), Cherokee Nation, CareOregon, OCHIN, Fresenius, Compaq & HP worldwide, along with other non-healthcare businesses.
C. Jane Norman, BA, MBA, CQE
C. Jane Norman is the President of Profound Knowledge Partners, Inc., with over 20 years of leadership and more than 40 years of expertise in consulting, executive coaching, and organizational improvement. A globally recognized authority on leadership and improvement, she has collaborated with organizations in 12 countries across industries including manufacturing, food, technology, and healthcare.
Ms. Norman previously held executive roles at Caterpillar, Inc., ConAgra Inc., Conrad Company, and OCHIN, where she specialized in integrating improvement strategies and fostering learning organizations. As co-owner of Austin API, Inc. and Profound Knowledge Partners, she develops strategic intelligence tools, systems thinking workshops, and virtual learning environments for leadership teams.
She is the creator of the PKP Improvement eLearning, Accelerated Model for Improvement (Aimi™), AimiHub platform, and co-designer of Traksio. Ms. Norman holds a BA in Natural Science from St. Ambrose University, an MBA from Rollins College, and is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE). Her career is marked by her dedication to advancing leadership, organizational excellence, and impactful improvement strategies.
Clifford L Norman, BA, MA, CQE
Cliff Norman joined Associates in Process Improvement (API) in 1988 (www.apiweb.org), and established Austin API Inc (2001) with C Jane Norman. He is a co-owner of PKP. He is one of six authors of The Improvement Guide (now in its second edition) which is used worldwide within Healthcare as a primary reference for improvement since 1995 by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). In 2013, he coauthored Transforming Healthcare Leadership with Michael Maccoby, C. Jane Norman and Richard Margolies. He recently coauthored Quality as an Organizational Strategy (QOS) with Lloyd Provost (API) and Dave William PhD in (2024) and The QOS Field Guide (2025). Cliff was instrumental in the development of the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program (13 days) for (Compaq)Hewlett-Packard, leading over 80 waves for over ten years. Jane was also a faculty member for the first 8 days of this program for 7 waves. The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program was based on the Model for Improvement and Deming’s Profound Knowledge theories. This program was modified to 12 days and is currently used by IHI for their Improvement Advisor program.
Juliana Sadovich, PhD, RN, CPHQ
Dr. Juliana Sadovich, CAPT (ret.), is a retired officer of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, with 38 years of distinguished service in federal healthcare leadership and civil service. She is currently a co-owner of Profound Knowledge Partners, Inc., leveraging her extensive expertise in quality improvement and healthcare systems and contributing to the design and development of Traksio.
In her final federal role, Dr. Sadovich served as the Director of the Indian Health Service (IHS) Office of Quality, where she spearheaded initiatives in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical care across the IHS system. Joining IHS in 2013, she held key roles including Executive Officer and Nurse Consultant for Emergency Medicine Services for Children.
Dr. Sadovich’s distinguished career also includes leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), such as Deputy Director of the Office of Special Health Affairs at HRSA and Director of Emergency Preparedness and Response at ACF. Her contributions extended to the Department of Homeland Security and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), strengthening health and management programs nationwide.
A respected scholar, Dr. Sadovich earned her PhD in Human Services with a specialty in Health Care Administration, complemented by master’s degrees in nursing and disaster medicine. Her career began at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in oncology and intensive care nursing. She is a published author whose work has contributed to the fields of emergency medicine, disaster management, and nursing. Dr. Sadovich’s enduring legacy is marked by innovation, dedication to patient care, and leadership in advancing health systems for underserved populations.
